“ Had a coffee and toast on Sunday after walking around the lake. A very nice and friendly clean restaurant to stop and have something to eat, over looking the lake Teddy bear , Maple and Tilly the corgis like coming here from when they were puppies. I think the robin likes it here, plenty of food, nice to see wildlife close. ”

“ Exceptional in every respect. The service from this restaurant and in particular Ryan was absolutely exceptional. We had a problem and they went totally out of their way to help us out. They were friendly, helpful - I would say they offered amongst the best service I have had in this type of restaurant. The food was excellent and we would definitely return. The manager was in total control of a very busy environment, she very clearly had an excellent rapport with her staff and as a result it ran like a well oiled drum. Again, thank you Ryan, you made our day exceptional and that was down to you not only doing your job but being kind and being willing to help when it was needed. ”

The waiting staff could be more attentive, but they have kept everything clean, were very friendly and all did a good job running a busy cafe. We had jacket potato and cheese, tomato and mushroom oatcake. The portions were excellent and there were plenty of fillings on both dishes. We love coming here for the oatcakes! ”
